Houston Public Library – Walter Neighborhood Library’s Asian Lunar New Year Volunteering Oppurtunity

The Walter Neighborhood Library will host the latest event in our series The Living Room @HPL on Saturday, February 16, 2018 from 2pm-4pm.

Celebrate the Asian Lunar New Year at the Living Room at HPL!  From new moons to fireworks, and lanterns to smiles, let the Lunar New Year shine bright! Celebrate the Lunar New Year with traditional Asian music, dance, crafts, activities and your library friends and families.

Scheduled volunteer shift: 12pm-5pm

Houston Tea Festival Volunteering Opportunity

Houston Tea Festival has volunteer opportunities for 3 hour shifts on Saturday, January 27 and Sunday, January 28. Volunteer opportunities include vendor setup, setting up registration table, work on registration, assisting in hallways or rooms, and assisting moderator for contests.  More volunteer assignments are on the volunteer application form.

The location will be at Hilton Houston NASA Clear Lake. The address is 3000 Nasa Pkwy. Houston, Texas 77058.

The Houston Tea Festival showcases a variety of tea vendors and tea-related events and activities. This  year’s theme is “Harry Teapotter and the Perfect Cuppa.”

Volunteers will receive perks of free one day adult admission to the festival, festival hat, festival mason jar drinking glass, organic Assam tea samples, and Hogwart house points.
